The very famous Park Güell is a public park with gardens and architectural elements, located in the upper part of the city of Barcelona, on the southern slope of Mount Carmel. Conceived as an urban complex, it was designed by the architect Antoni Gaudí, the greatest exponent of Catalan modernism, at the expense of the impresario Eusebi Güell and inaugurated as a public park in 1926.
Park Güell enriches the plant and fauna biodiversity of the city of Barcelona by creating a real ecosystem capable of facilitating the spontaneous animal recolonization of the city. The presence of birds is particularly massive: some of these reside there permanently, while others migrate at various times of the year.
