The Cathedral of the Holy Cross and Saint Eulalia, is the cathedral-seat of the Archdiocese of Barcelona. The cathedral is dedicated to Santa Creu and Santa Eulalia, the patroness of Barcelona (February 12), who was martyred in Roman times. Awarded the title of minor basilica in 1867, it has been a Spanish Historic-Artistic Monument since 2 November 1929.
