Pura Ulun Danu Beratan, or Pura Bratan, is a major Shaivite water temple in Bali. The temple complex is located on the shores of Lake Bratan in the mountains near Bedugul. The temple was built in 1633, and today it is used for the ceremonies of offerings to the Balinese water, the lake and the goddess Dewi Danu. This 11-storey sacred place is dedicated to the deity Shiva and his consort Parvathi.
