Pura Goa Lawah is a Balinese Hindu temple, located in Klungkung. This sacred site is often included in the Sad Kahyangan Jagad, or "six shrines of the world", the six holiest places of worship in Bali. The temple was founded in the 11th century by Mpu Kuturan, one of the first priests who introduced Hinduism to Bali. Pura Goa Lawah is built around a cave opening inhabited by bats, hence the name, Goa Lawah or "bat cave".
